Cleaning and maintaining your sump pump and waterproofing system is key to the prevention of future wet basement or crawl space water problems. A failed pump or clogged drain line can potentially cause thousands of dollars in damage and create an undesirable living environment. In addition, an un-maintained system may void your warranty.

Check pump operation – float switch, intake screen, check valve, and impeller.
Clean sump liner of sediment and lilt (very important for the proper pump operation).
Change batteries in your high water alarm (recommended annually).
Check the integrity of the discharge line.
Inspect clean-out ports for sediment build-up in the main system lines.
Provide a written service record upon completion.

Making sure your system is in proper working order, especially the pump, is imperative in keeping your basement or crawl space dry.
